Round bellows are designed to protect various types of shafts, including ball screws, cylinder rods, ball splines, spline shafts, jacks, and rack-and-pinion systems.
The Ring-Reinforced Type is the most economical and widely used type of round bellows. Materials can be selected to suit the application. Reinforcing rings are inserted into a cylindrical fabric sleeve to create the bellows.
The High-Frequency Welded Type offers a compact minimum compressed length (MIN). It is manufactured by high-frequency welding donut-shaped fabric sections without using reinforcing rings. Its low reaction force and low particle generation make it ideal for cleanroom applications.
The Sewn Type forms the bellows peaks and valleys through sewing. It achieves a shorter minimum compressed length (MIN) than the Ring-Reinforced Type. The greater the difference between the inner diameter and outer diameter, the shorter the minimum compressed length becomes.
The Ring-Reinforced Sewn Type is constructed by sewing reinforcing rings into the bellows. Since the rings are securely sewn in place, there is no risk of them coming loose or falling out.
